How to make a letter from Santa
- Choose a design. Santa’s Workshop uses a traditional red seal; North Pole Post Office has an evergreen color band; Christmas Wishes uses less colored ink.
- Make it personal. Open the design in the letterhead maker. Under Writing area, choose Type a letter and add a greeting, message and signature. Or choose lines and write by hand after printing.
- Pick your paper. The ready-made PDFs use US Letter. In the maker, choose A4 if that is the paper in your printer.
- Print a test. Print at 100% or actual size. Turn off the browser’s headers and footers. Turn on background graphics for the color band; most home printers will leave a small white edge.
- Add an envelope. Enter the recipient’s mailing address in the maker and choose Print matching envelope. Use a #10 or DL envelope and check your printer’s feed instructions.
A short message to start with
Use this as a starting point, then add details that are meaningful to your family:
Dear [name],
Christmas is almost here! I heard about the kindness you showed when you [specific moment]. That made everyone at the workshop smile.
Keep being curious, helping others and finding little reasons to laugh. The reindeer and I are getting ready for our big journey.
Warm wishes from the North Pole,
Santa
Are these Santa letterhead templates free?
Yes. Print them at home, use them in a classroom or customize them for family letters. No sign-up, watermark or email address is required. Do not resell the original template files. Names and addresses in these festive examples are fictional.
Can I edit the letterhead in Word or Google Docs?
The Word download uses a simplified editable header without the sample logo. Customize the design in the maker to include a logo. To use it in Google Docs, download the Word file, upload it to Drive and open it with Google Docs. Check the imported layout before printing. See the Google Docs guide.
Blank, lined or typed: which should I choose?
Blank stationery gives you room for a drawing or your own layout. Lined stationery helps children keep handwriting straight. The maker’s typed-letter option lets you print a complete one-page letter; use Word if your message runs longer.
